Re: Vizio Co-Star Wiki Page Updated
We have been playing with getting arm based android apps running on the Sony (vizio applies here, it's the same SOC) but most of the boxes libraries would need to be changed, which makes Google TV not work anymore. I suppose if we had some way to selectively control which libraries are used on the ...

Re: Vizio Co-Star Wiki Page Updated
I would hold off on releasing the root until the firmware is much more stable and bug free. No sense letting them patch the exploit before we have a firmware we're ready to live with for a while (in case we can't get more updates without losing root). At the very least they need to fix 5.1 audio pla...

Re: Vizio units are reported to be shipping
Added the init files to the same shared folder linked above. I've been looking around whether native C/C++ NDK is possible on these GTV 2.0 devices. This thread seems to have conflicting information: http://forum.gtvhacker.com/revue-development/topic293-10.html Anyone know for sure? I got this Vizio...

Re: NSZ-GS7 root
I posted a system dump of my Vizio box in the Vizio forum. Hopefully it will help you guys determine if it can be rooted similar to the Sony. While on this topic, will it ever be possible to remove Android entirely from one of these GTV boxes and replace with a full Linux distro like Ubuntu? I reall...

Re: Vizio units are reported to be shipping
Posted a system dump here: http://ultramegabit.com/folder/view/WXDT1Zj1oU0 This is after the first OTA update was performed upon first bootup. It updated firmware from U01.002.001 to u.2.2.7-FCS (8-10-2012) Also includes a log file so you can see what files were skipped during the pull (permission e...

Re: NSZ-GS7 root
Yeah, it goes without saying we are waiting to release - namely we want more boxes to be shipped out, and more people to have them. Right now, it would be quite foolish to release an exploit that only a handful of people could use. Can you say if the exploit is part of a general GTV2 feature that w...
