Those instructions describe exactly what I've been doing. The unit recognizes the usb, it starts the update, then it goes to the "updating" screen and then I get Update Error. I get the same error with the May file. It seems I'm stuck in 20120126.

Hi, I tried updating through USB drive, but after I'm asked to confirm if I want to update to new version and select yes to update I get an "update data error". I tried also with previous version from the gtvhacker update downloads page but I get the same error. My unit was rooted and then...

Has anyone tried this link in an unrooted unit? I found it in a youtube video claiming to allow Hulu viewing in the Sony NSZ-GT1. My unit is still in the mail so I can't try it myself.
