Did you manage to get the stock exploitable update on your machine so you could start over with the root exploit ?jakoh wrote:I have documented my problem here in one thread please take a look.

Re: Rooted sony google tv but no flash support
Go to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ on your computer and just put in exactly what you see there for the user agent.
You must reboot your GTV box before it takes effect.
Reboot your device by pressing ctrl+alt+del after you set the user agent.

Re: Rumor: New update coming in Monday patching Sony exploit
how can i tell if i have been upgraded? if i have, does it mean no root? go into system info & see what version you are on. I don't think it will update unless you give it the okay to install, so say no when it asks. If it has been updated than you can not root until they figure out another way ...

Re: NSX-GT1 and NSZ-GT1 exploit to run unsigned kernels!
Do you have a link or a thread title to search for the Win32DiskImager.exe instructions. I am getting a read error when I try to instal the first image & I have tried 3 different USB sticks so there is still something wrong with the way I am writing the images to the USB stick I think. Here are...

My other question was would Win32DiskImager.exe work for transferring the images. The answer is yes it works great and is easier ...
