Re: full root achieved on nsz-gs7 now!

Just FYI. I tried to copying the following directory over to /data/sys/ and then create symalinks. /system/app /system/bin /system/chrome /system/etc /system/framework /system/xbin Now on boot all I get is a the blue spinning circle. Luckily, I installed the new custom recovery before hand. So hopin...

Re: the new recovery/root

I found the files at: http://dc21.gtvhacker.com/

trying to follow the video on the Asus Cube, I get stuck at cat /proc/mtd

I think this is where our sony devices differ. Hopefully they will post a how-to soon.

Re: full root achieved on nsz-gs7 now!

So to do some testing without symlinking the entire folder, what folders should I test with?

/system/bin
/system/app
/system/etc
/system/chrome

Anything else I'm missing?

Re: full root achieved on nsz-gs7 now!

Adaway is working with a symlink from /system/etc/hosts -> /data/data/hosts Since Im guessing you can modify /data/data/hosts without any issues, my thought is since we can modify the whole file structure offline, what if we symlink the entire /system directory to say /core or something we know and...

Re: BETA: Revue Root (Not for general public use)

Since the root is not persistent, and I understand the goal is to stay on 3.1, my question is, do we have anyway to flash back to 2.1 Rooted for now. Just too keep logitech from locking us out of the boxes, until the 3.1 problem can be figured out?

Re: Able Remote for Google TV

Maybe I am missing something here. But the only reason I am interested in this app is the popup notifications of SMS and caller ID. However I can not get this to work at all on Logitech Revue and Evo 4G. I do not have live TV and only used Chrome to watch internet TV, But even with Chrome shut down,...

Re: Speaking outloud, so slap me...

You guys seem to think that I am 100% thinking this will get us the key. Im am on your side as far as the chances of getting the key are next to impossible. My whole point of this, was the same as when we cracked the 64bit key with the other group. 1. Brute forcing the key starting at 0 and going up...

Re: Speaking outloud, so slap me...

I think you missed my point of how we brute forced and that where I did say we got lucky. The idea is not to start a 0 and count up, but in turn methodically randomly pick key and try them. After a key has been test and fails, randomly pick another one. Not saying it would get the key, but saying th...
