Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?

Once you have root you can use a uninstaller like (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootuninstaller.free&hl=en) Or just go into /system/app or what ever it is and go crazy deleting everything that looks at you funny (what i did). IMO make some backups in case you delete somethin...

Re: Pulse can't control my devices

Yeah its much much faster then the revue its has no lag... That being said.. the remote can be finicky and seems to try and determine if what way your holding it in order to deactivate or activate the buttons on the bottom of the device. Also the IR blaster is a lot worse then the revue.. the revue ...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?

I just got my system today. Had some issues with it. Had to restart due to the remote not pairing right, but that was only after replacing the 3 AAA’s that were DOA. Still it has a fairly snappy response. As far as root goes I managed to get that just fine with some tinkering… but like helousn, I ha...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?

As a current Logitech Revue owner i just bought the Pulse after seeing this :P

I would suggest that anyone and everyone who is going to buy this, reach out to the company over social media, email, tin-can+string and tell them that this is why your buying the device.

Re: Good google tv adblocker

You need root. The ad blockers work by adding entries to the "Hosts" file to black hole ad domain's. The Ad free addon did not seem to work with user debug but i am sure you could have done it manually if you wanted. The other option is to do network level blocking at your router with DD-W...

Re: Do apps have access to Video in on GTV?

yea that is using a box that is ment to be a DVR i was talking about making the GTV a DVR/SlingBox so it would save TV shows to a USB hard drive or over onto a NAS. Your Cable/SAT DVR works because it is the device that is doing the Decryption and encryption. GoogleTV will act as a pass through and ...

Re: Do apps have access to Video in on GTV?

No i was more thinking DVR or sling box like functionality for the one app. The problem is that from what i was looking at using it seems to be an encrypted stream from the cable box to the tv. and the only way to mitm it would be to used the reverse engineered HDCP master keys and do hardware level...

Do apps have access to Video in on GTV?

Hello, I am looking at making an app for Google TV (and very new to this), but I am wondering if there are currently any ways of getting access to the video input to Google TV. Ideally I am trying to get direct access so that I can handle displaying TV and what not through the app... Much like my ow...

yep, i am on hulu atm

I do have to note that for me the content is not super smooth. If i don't pause and let it buffer it cuts out every couple of seconds. I am on Fios with 25/25 mbps.
